Caseggiano - Holiday apartments in a lovely cottage-style home
Location
Situated on a small hill in the hamlet of Seggiano just beneath the municipality of Giano dell'Umbria, this old stone house and its holiday apartments give a fantastic view as far as Assisi and Trevi (see photo gallery). The ancient villages in the surroundings offer superb cuisine made from delicious local produce (e.g. olive oil, truffles, wild boar sausages, lentils from Castellucchio) and a fine selection of excellent wines (Sagrantino, Greccetto, Rosso di Montefalco) in a warm-hearted atmosphere making your stay an enjoyable experience. The region is world renowned for the high quality and purity of its products.
Surrounded by forests, vineyards, and olive groves, this property is an ideal starting point for hikers. Signposted routes take you to high plateaus where you can see horses, donkeys, and sheep graze.
A very intimate garden planted with a variety of herbs and wild flowers and equipped with deckchairs and other outdoor furniture invites you to read and relax. In addition, a large library of travel guides, hiking guides, and fiction books is available. Once you stay here I am happy to give you tips on where and when to go to see the most important attractions of this charming region.
